Contact the Area

Every service position in Area 09 has its own e-mail address. It stays the same when the trusted servant rotates, so your message always reaches whoever is serving now.

Need help with drinking?

You don't have to do this alone.

If you want to stop drinking, A.A. can help. Find a meeting near you today — in person or online, in English and in Spanish.

Want to talk to someone now? Local central offices answer the phone — many 24 hours a day — and can put you in touch with a member.

Seventh Tradition

Groups and members can contribute to Area 09 by Zelle, by check or money order, or in person at an Area meeting.

How to contribute

Send us something to post

What to send, and where

Send it to the right service address and it reaches the right person the first time.

Events & flyers

Workshops, anniversaries, district events: send the date, time, place, host and a service e-mail, with the flyer's text in the body of the message. It goes on the Area calendar, which feeds this site.

Reports & minutes

Committee and district reports for the Area meeting, and corrections to the Area minutes, go to the Area Secretary.

Motions & agenda items

Want something on the Area agenda? Write to the Area Chair. The Guidelines & Policies (GAP) Committee can help you word a motion.

Group & GSR changes

A new group, a new GSR, a new meeting place? The Area Registrar updates the records with the General Service Office.

Newsletter & translation

Stories and announcements for the Area newsletter, and documents that need translating between English and Spanish.

Website updates

Corrections, new pages, documents to post, or help with Zoom and technology. The Technology Committee also holds weekly online office hours.

Before you send

  1. 1Double-check dates, times and places.

  3. 3Send documents as Word or PDF, and paste a flyer's text into your message.
  4. 4Send an English and a Spanish version if you can; if not, a translation will be arranged (it takes a little longer).
  5. 5Material with anonymity breaks or serious errors may be edited, or not posted.
