Service in Area 09

Area committees

Every committee has one simple job: helping the alcoholic who still suffers find A.A. Every one of them needs servants — and every one of them started with somebody raising a hand.

Standing committees

The Assembly's standing committees. Their chairs vote at the Area Service Committee and the Assembly, and each committee writes its own guidelines, reviewed by GAP and approved by the Assembly.

Raise your hand

Want to serve on a committee?

No experience needed — every committee welcomes visitors and new members. This is how most people start.

  1. 1

    Come to a meeting

Most committees meet online or during the Area meeting on the 2nd Sunday. Just come and listen.

  2. 2

    Talk to the chair

Write to the committee's service address. Chairs are always glad to hear from someone new.

  3. 3

    Say yes

Take a small job, carry the message and grow into the work. Open seats are marked on every page.
