Standing committee
Registration
Keeping group and GSR records current across every district.
What this committee does
The Registration Committee coordinates registration activity with every district of Area 09 so that records of groups and their GSRs stay current and accurate. It signs in the body at Area meetings and works with the Area Registrar, who is a voting member of the committee and its link to the General Service Office.

Its work in Area 09
- Develop and maintain records of all groups in the Area: group name, meeting place and time, and GSR or group contact.
- Help district registrars keep their group and trusted-servant records current.
- Sign in members at ASC meetings and Assemblies and keep the contact list from the sign-in sheets.
- Help groups register a new group or a new GSR (Area online form; G.S.O. forms F-30 and F-28).
- Take minutes for roundtables at the Pre-Conference Workshop or Servathon when asked.
How to get involved
Any interested A.A. member can join; district registrars are strongly encouraged to take part. The committee meets before Area Service Committee meetings and Assemblies.
How it is organized
Chair approved by the Area Assembly (five years of sobriety suggested); Alternate Chair (three years) and Secretary (two years) elected by the committee; terms run with the Area officers’ two-year terms. The Chair, or the Alternate in the Chair’s absence, votes at the ASC and Assembly. Missing three Area meetings without a substitute vacates a position.
When we meet
Meets during the Area meeting break-out
The Area meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month, 9 AM–3 PM, in person and on Zoom; registration opens at 8 AM. Committees meet in break-out rooms during the meeting — ask at the registration table where yours is.

Frequently asked questions
Our group changed its meeting time. Who do we tell?
Tell your DCM or district registrar, and the Area Registrar (registrar@msca09aa.org) so G.S.O. records match. Also tell your central office so the meeting directory is updated.
