Pre-Conference Workshop & Mock Conference
Each spring, the groups of Area 09 tell the Delegate what they think about the Conference agenda.
What it is
Each spring (typically March–April) GSRs and DCMs bring their groups’ conscience on the Conference agenda items to the Delegate — through district boot camps, the Spanish Inter-District Pre-Conference, online sharing sessions and the Area Mock Conference.

Its work in Area 09
- Districts hold Pre-Conference “boot camps” to study the agenda items with their GSRs.
- The Spanish-speaking districts hold an Inter-District Pre-Conference.
- At the April Area meeting (Pre-Conference / Mock Conference), work groups discuss the items of each Conference committee and report their sense to the Delegate.
- Work-group packets and agenda summaries are prepared in English and Spanish.
How to get involved
GSRs: take the agenda items to your group, find its informed conscience, and bring it to your district and to the April Area meeting. Everyone is welcome to listen and learn.

Meets during the Area meeting break-out
The Area meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month, 9 AM–3 PM, in person and on Zoom; registration opens at 8 AM. Committees meet in break-out rooms during the meeting — ask at the registration table where yours is.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be a GSR to take part?
No. Anyone can attend and listen. GSRs and DCMs carry their group’s and district’s conscience; ask your DCM how your district is preparing.
