Ad hoc committee
Audit Committee
An independent check of the Area's books each year.
What this committee does
At each January Assembly the Area Chair appoints, with the Assembly’s approval, an Audit Committee of three members and two alternates — none of them officers of the corporation. It audits the Treasurer A/P and A/R accounts for the past calendar year and presents its report at the May Assembly; once the report is accepted, the committee disbands.
