Area 09 Pre-Conference Mock Conference

Sunday, April 13 Area 09 Pre-Conference Mock Conference 9:00am – 3:00pm PST (hybrid)

Sunday – April 13 – 8 am to 3 pm – Day 2 is the Pre-Conference Mock Conference Assembly (docs.google.com/document/d/1IumG0J3vb89deTnAcKuiC4tsqqXA…) (English Agenda here).

The Pre-Mock Conference Workshop is a day where everyone involved has the fun opportunity to act like a delegate for the day and deliberate on agenda items “in committee” – just like our delegate will do at the General Service Conference from April 27 to May 3!

GSRs and AA individuals are randomly assigned 1 of 6 committees on the day of the event, and DCMCs and Area Chairs are pre-assigned to 1 of the 6 committees that was discussed at the March Area Service Committee. ( Reminder: GSRs who attended the March ASC and were assigned a committee breakout will join the same committee on April 13). ( Please see the alternate delegate’s page for access to the workgroup assignments).

The outcome of this assembly will allow the delegate to know “ Area 9’s group conscience” as discussed through the work group committees. Scribes of the Workgroup assignments will provide the committee’s recommendation via the Survey Monkey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/D65XWZ7) /Workgroup packet and share this information at the microphone. Workgroups will also have the opportunity to discuss three pre-assigned General Service Conference inventory questions (English – HERE (docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScj_xJkUbXGcKs49o5nOdWa…) Spanish – HERE (docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScqsHuVLq2p8acrggTpjNQY…) ) and discuss the motion t o approve the Spanish Translation of The Plain Language Big Book. El Taller Pre-Simulado de la Conferencia es un día en el que todos los involucrados tienen la divertida oportunidad de actuar como delegados del día y deliberar sobre los temas de la agenda “en comité”, ¡tal como lo hará nuestro delegado en la Conferencia de Servicios Generales del 27 de abril al 3 de mayo!

A los RSG y AA se les asigna aleatoriamente 1 de 6 comités el día del evento, y los DCMC y los coordinadores de área están preasignados a 1 de los 6 comités que se discutieron en el Comité de Servicio de Área de marzo. ( Recordatorio: Los RSG que asistieron al ASC de marzo y se les asignó un grupo de trabajo se unirán al mismo comité el 13 de abril).
